Room Three

This term we have been learning how to write  narritive texts.

We know that a narritive piece of text must have:

-an introduction

-a problem

-a sequence of events

-a resolution

We have had a go at rewriting Goldie Locks and the Three Bears.

Brock and the Unusual House

Once upon a time, there lived a small boy. His name was Brock. He was a piece of Broccoli.

After breakfast, Brock was walking in a Broccoli patch. He saw an unusual house sitting right in the middle of the garden, so he knocked on the door. He went inside. Nobody was there.

Brock saw three bowls of Butter Chicken on a weird looking table. He was ravenous.
“This curry is too spicy!” “This curry is too mild!” “This curry is just perfect!” Brock ate all of the Butter Chicken.
Brock was full up now. “This couch is way too big!” “This couch is way to big too!” “This couch is just perfect!” But the couch collapsed!

Brock wanted to sleep because he was very tired. He slowly crept up some creepy stairs.
“This bed is way too hard!” “This bed is way too soft!” “This bed is just perfect!”

Soon the Broccoli family came home. “Someone’s been eating my curry!” shouted Daddy Broccoli. “Someone’s been eating my curry!” shouted Mama Broccoli. “Someone’s been eating my curry – and it’s all gone!” shouted Baby Broccoli.

“Someone’s been sitting on my couch!” explained Daddy Broccoli. “Someone’s been sitting on my couch!” explained Mama Broccoli. “Someone’s been sitting on my couch – and it’s fallen into pieces!” explained Baby Broccoli.

“Someone’s been lying in my bed!” grumbled Daddy Broccoli. “Someone’s been lying in my bed!” grumbled Mama Broccoli. “Someone’s been lying in my bed – and he’s still there!” grumbled Baby Broccoli.

Brock noticed the three pieces of Broccoli. “Ahhhhhhh!” He ran downstairs as fast as he could and back into his house. From that moment, Brock was too scared to go there ever again.
